My name is Ammar Mohamed Ahmed Al-Haj Othman (Bumayyas ), a filmmaker and a director from Sudan. I was born, raised, and spent my childhood in Saudi Arabia. I’ve studied college in my homeland Sudan, where I went to Sudan University of Science and Technology and obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Tele-Communications Engineering in 2014.
My love and passion for the filmmaking have made me passionate about people, travel, nature, exploring, and seeing things around me in a different way. It made me believe in the principle of peace and standing against violence. This passion gave me the ears to listen to the many stories around me with the ability to turn them into in spirations for the eyes to enjoy. I’m honored to be a human being who seeks, chases, and captures success through the lenses of the camera.

In 2013, I produced my film "12 Shahar" in its first part, which discusses the issue of high dowries and the rising costs of marriage. I participated in the Tiharqa International Cinema and Arts Festival in its second edition and won the Best Actor award for the talented Shaker Abdulilah. In 2014, I completed the story and produced it in a second part, participating in the Tiharqa International Cinema and Arts Festival in its third edition, winning two awards for Best Screenplay and Best Cinematography, making the total number of awards won by the film "12 Shahar" in its two parts three awards.
